DeNure Student Tours

We have designed this page to answer some of the questions you may have about planning and preparing for your trip.


What is included in the tour price I am quoted?
The following will be included in a quote from DeNure Student Tours:
• Roundtrip motorcoach transportation with DeNure Student Tours
• Accommodation in quad rooms for students
• Accommodation in twin rooms for adults
• Transportation to all scheduled itinerary activities
• Breakfast daily
• Other meals as noted on itinerary description
• All excursions led by professional local guides per itinerary description
• Visits to sites and attractions as per itinerary description
• The services of a full-time DeNure Student Tours Tour Director
• Overnight hotel security
• Gratuities for all meals/services included in the itinerary
• 24 hour emergency services
• All taxes except GST / HST – which is listed separately


What is NOT included in the tour price I am quoted?
The following are commonly NOT included in a tour fee:
• Passport / visa fees
• Medical and/or cancellation insurance
• Transportation and admission to unscheduled activities
• GST / HST on Canadian tours


What if I have my own itinerary ideas for my tour?
Customizing Itineraries
DeNure Student Tours has researched each destination and has come up with a list of attractions and activities that you may wish to add to your tour. This will help you achieve your group’s educational goals and create a tailored itinerary to suit your needs. Any excursion labelled as “optional” on the tour description is not included in your tour price and may be added, for an additional cost, to your group’s itinerary.


What if the destination I want is not listed?
DeNure Student Tours has experience with destinations around the world. If you are considering something other than what you see in this listing, please discuss it with our sales representative. We can put together a suggested itinerary and a quote quickly for your consideration.


How many people share a hotel room?
Adults
Teachers and adult chaperones are automatically placed in twin rooms unless a single room is selected and paid for at the time of booking. Ask our representative about single rates for teachers / chaperones. Roommates are assigned by the Group Leader.

Students
Students will be assigned accommodation with 4 students of the same gender per room. Roommates are assigned by the Group Leader.

Double/Twin or Single Room Supplements
All students room together in same-gender quadruples. Teachers/chaperones are automatically placed in twin rooms unless a single is requested. An additional charge will apply for double/twin accommodation for students and single rooms for adults. Rates will be quoted at the time of booking.


How do I pay for my tour?
Payments will be processed from the student directly with DeNure Student Tours. Payment schedules will be established when the tour is booked, including deposits and regular or final payments. Generally, a nonrefundable deposit of $100 per student is required to confirm a booking, and final payments are required 60 days prior to departure.

DeNure Student Tours offers convenient payment plans and accepts Visa and MasterCard, personal cheques, electronic payment and money orders. Visa and MasterCard are accepted through our website’s secure login area or over the telephone.

We will also accept payment by mail. Cheques should be made payable to “DeNure Student Tours” and sent to:

Cheques returned NSF will be charged a fee of $50.


What if a student has to cancel their tour?
DeNure Student Tours Cancellation Protection Plan
DeNure Student Tours offers all students traveling in Canada the option of purchasing our Cancellation Protection Plan, which includes a ‘cancel for any reason prior to departure’ benefit. A rate for this protection will be quoted at the time of booking.

For tours travelling outside of Canada, DeNure Student Tours partners with RBC Insurance to provide medical, cancellation and trip interruption insurance. We offer special student group rates on this coverage and it is not included in the tour price.

Refunds
DeNure Student Tours issues refunds in the same method as the original payment was made. DeNure Student Tours cannot refund credit cards that were not originally used for payment, or that exceed the total amount charged to that card.


Who can Travel with DeNure Student Tours?
Special Needs and Abilities
Students or adults with special needs or physical limitations may travel on a DeNure Student Tour. Please let us know in advance of your departure and we will do everything we can to accommodate your needs.

Please note that some hotels are not wheelchair accessible. We regret that DeNure Student Tours drivers and tour directors cannot provide individual assistance to passengers for mobility, walking, or other personal needs. Please do not hesitate to call your DeNure Student Tours representative to discuss any specific needs.

Parental Authorization
When travelling from Canada into the USA, students who are minors require parental consent to enter the country. The consent document must be completed prior to departure, and must accompany any minor travellers on the tour. Each traveller must be prepared to present the form, along with a valid identification at the border.
